Legacy of the Companions

Some of the historic mosques built by the Companions of Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) now lie in ruins. We need you to help restore Palestine’s history before it is lost forever.

What is
Sadaqah Jariyah?

Sadaqah Jariyah is charity that brings ongoing benefit to others and to you. When you donate to a Sadaqah Jariyah project, you reap the reward in this life and the next.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him.” (Muslim, Tirmidhi).

There aren’t many better things to invest in than Sadaqah Jariyah.

Our Sadaqah
Jariyah projects

Human Appeal has many Sadaqah Jariyah projects designed to bring ongoing benefit to communities.
These include:

  • Clean water in Gaza. This £1.75 million project will provide clean water for 600,000 people who are currently using contaminated water that is causing serious health problems
  • An orphan welfare centre in Jerusalem. We’re in the final stages of establishing an orphanage for 6,000 children but urgently need funds to complete the project
  • A honey bee farm for poor families in countries such as Pakistan. Your Sadaqah Jariyah donation will provide families with the equipment they need to start a honey bee farm in order to earn an independent living
  • Olive trees in Palestine. Olive trees can last for around 1,000 years, providing a source of income to many generations of farmers and their families. Help plant a tree and as long as people benefit, so will you
  • Rebuilding mosques in Gaza and Palestine. Tens of mosques have been partly or completely damaged during the last 3 wars on Gaza in the last 8 years. We're determined to rebuild the places of worship and protect the heritage and identity of Gaza and Jerusalem. This project costs £100,000. Rehabilitation of one mosque costs £5,000 whilst full renovation for one mosque is £10,000

What can you do

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed every Muslim to give Sadaqah, and there is no better Sadaqah than that which is ongoing and will benefit us in the afterlife.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his Sadaqah,” (Ahmad).

Support our Sadaqah Jariyah projects today, and reap the rewards from Allah.
